... what's a good one?
I'm looking at the GI one at the moment which promises more energy and weight loss. I'm exercising at least twice a week so think it only fair that God makes my paunch go away! ;D

Doin the GI thing meself at the mo and I've lost half a stone in 2 weeks so I'd say it's a pretty kick ass diet if you do it right! God seems to be doin his thing for you anyway because your (pretty non-existant) paunch was hardly noticeable Sunday!

You say all the right things sweet cheeks! Go you on the weight loss, fair play to ya. Careful though you'll have even more internet weirdo's after you! I've cooked us Chicken Bok Stir Fry and Char Grilled Steak & Salsa the last two evenings. I must say it's a rather tasty diet isn't it?!!?

Not even going to attempt the big words that GI stand for. I'll leave that to Hels! It's supposed to help you lose weight and boost your energy levels by utilising 'good fats' etc...

GI = Glycaemic Index is basically about your sugar levels. Foods with a low GI are absorbed slowly into your bloodstream making you feel fuller for longer and give you a constant energy level. Stuff like bread, rice, pasta, cereal, fruit, veg etc. (it's all about the carbs baby!) Foods with a high GI are absorbed quickly which makes your blood sugar shoot up fast but then drop just as quick. Making you hungry and craving more sugar. Stuff like chocolate, cheese, crisps etc. ...and so endeth the lesson.

Why thank you Miss Faz that was informative but readable. Just incase anyone's remotely interested I ate couscous for dinner tonight. I can think of a few people who would find that hilarious but that's another story! ;D I chopped up a pepper, a tomato and some herbs (corriander and parsley if you must know) then added mixed fruit, pine nuts, pistachios and a touch of cumin. Dressing was extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and some ground black pepper. Delicious and I don't want a late night munch!

Yeah. To be honest, the diet went out the window this evening! Three real sausages each, mashed potato made with real butter (organic potatoes mind), mushrooms, carrots and gravy... It was comfort food... May even crack open a bottle of wine in a bit!

Have you tried Crunchie ice-cream? Well nice Not a bad point that Beryl... Where is the Ginger Warrior? In all fairness he's had much more important things on his mind recently but when he's up for it a bit of forum nonsense is right up his alley!
