Fastest growing sport in the world. Where rugged, hard types go along on boards or buggies pulled by huge kites. As they gather momentum they pull off some pretty impressive stunts. Doing a national tour and called into Weston super Mare last weekend. The organiser Mark loved myspace.com/mattwescott and apparently has 'So Confused' on his mp3 player. Such a fast growing and relatively new sport attracts TV which was nice. Meant that my set late afternoon Sunday was recorded by a company called Visual Pixels who work for Sky TV. Result! Will be the end of the year before anything is televised as they are continuing their tour of the nation and when that's complete there will obviously be a lot of editing to do. Will keep all you rich people with Sky posted!
As for the gig, was a bit cold and bored by the time I got on stage as I would have liked to have got an onstage time and turned up about half an hour before rather than hang about all day on the f**king beach! Yeah Yeah, Kinetic and So Confused were all cool. A cover of Jack Johnson's Sitting, Wishing, Waiting had to be done on the beach, So You Know was awful and Ignorance Is Bliss the best of the bunch...
