This guy is awesome and I'm playing with him next month! He's already played with Turin Brakes and supports Damien Rice in their native Dublin for two sold out nights at the end of this month. His debut album is out now and is available via the Bella Union website (they're his record company). It's also available in the shops obviously but I think you'll find Bella Union's price pretty competitive...
If you're the sort of person who needs critical acclaim to make your mind up for you then keep your eyes peeled for his name in all the major music monthly and weekly magazines this month as well as Sunday broadsheets. Alternatively go to his myspace page via mine (he's in my top 24) and check out the tunes on line there. 'Put A Penny In The Slot' is my favourite at the moment and I haven't been as excited about a prospective gig since I fronted leScour at Bristol's Carling Academy...

For the 10mins I actually managed to stick it out at The Louie (it was so hot I think things actually started to melt) I thought this bloke was brilliant! I'd definitly go see him again!

The album's good but I don't think it does justice to the live performance. He was ace!

Be Good Or Be Gone and Penny In The Slot are genius songs and great recordings. The album The End Of History is a grower. Some tracks stay with you. Really charming and quirky. Different nuances stand out with each listen...
